Electro Blinds & Awnings is a company specializing in the automation of blinds, curtain rails and awnings.

Virtually all new blinds and awnings can be motorized, and operated from a choice of wall switches, remote controls, timers, light sensors or programmed control systems.

Existing Venetian blinds can be motorised from R2350 each (including VAT). Remotes from R450.

Automated sunshade systems should not be considered as additional technical equipment. Everything is possible. Projects are no longer limited by problems of excessive warming from the sun nor by excessive dazzle.

Blinds:

Wood and aluminium venetian blinds to lift and tilt, or tilt only

Roller, pleated and roman blinds to lift and drop

Vertical blinds to tilt only

Curtains:

Motorized curtain rails for heavy and light applications

Awnings:

Folding-arm awnings, fall-arms, window screens and top-rollers for patios (wind, rain and sun sensors are available)

Tubular motors are used for blinds and awnings and are usually not visible. In new or renovated buildings the power cables can be hidden, existing buildings are more of a problem

Some advantages of automation are:

No strings or ropes to get tangled and look untidy

Effortless, ideal for heavy or high installations, and for the physically "not so strong"

Blind and awning life is significantly extended

12V DC motors can be powered by battery packs but this would be for tilt only applications

24V DC or 230V AC power points are required depending on the weight\size of the fabric (we do not supply electrical reticulation)
